Scenic park with a boating lake, a miniature train, a kids' play area & a coffee shop. Dog friendly.
Shibden Park is a really lovely park with so much grassy open space to run around and play. It has a cafe with great food and the ice cream is delicious. There is a kids train that takes you around a small section of the park and it's very affordable too. They host funfairs and a yearly circus. Lots of places to see within. Great scenery. They have paddling and rowing boats also which you can hire. Loads of wildlife if you like tour pictures like me.
Great coach museum, house and park . Love the drystone wall exhibition. Cafe by lake is great. Miss the little tea rooms at the hall from the previous visit.
It is a beautifully quiet peaceful park to walk around, all I can hear is birdsong it is so good here and Shibden hall is beautiful to look at at the top of the hill from down at the park, know wonder so many people come here with their dogs to walk and their children it is a lovely place to be.
Great Park, relatively quiet, great for young kids and taking the dog for a walk. Parking is paid during the day but free a certain time worth checking before visiting. The park offers a small lake with boats for hire, kids park and a train ride for small kids
We have pug meetups here. There's a nice dog friendly restaurant (or a sandwich place ... hard to tell). Quite like it. It's not flat though. Not a problem, just pointing that out.
We didn't go in the house, but walked the grounds and took the miniature train. Lovely big park, well maintained. Plenty of space for families or to picnic.
