This 12-acre park features a large pond, walking trails, and a variety of plant species. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll, have a picnic, or take part in outdoor activities like fishing or birdwatching. The park also has a children's play area and hosts community events throughout the year.
We went their for the jubilee celebrations, bouncy castles, live bands and singers. Had a great time with the family, it was the first time I had visited the park it has a lovley area for the children of all ages to play on the swings, slides etc.
We have really enjoyed walking our new pup, Luna over Shotgate Park. We have met some lovely people (and dogs!) and everyone has been so nice. Great park - only criticism is that the grass could do with being a bit shorter.
Nice little park for dog walks, have only met friendly dog owners which is nice, they gave a small children's park, basketball/ football court as well as concrete table tennis table. Footpath all the way around so is suitable for wheelchairs / buggies/ mobility scooters ect.
Our beautiful local park. I have even had the pleasure of litter picking this park a handful of times with the local Wickford Wombles. That's how much we care for it. Old trees, lots of planting each year by Shotgate Parish Council, who do a fantastic job of maintenance and keeping it all safe and tidy. If you visit, do your bit!
Has parks go,we are quite lucky to have this park so close in lock down, yes I know it's small but it seems to have good areas to walk the dogs ,with out getting covered in mud the humans that is,with the dogs it's a different story...
Park has all the essentials for younger kids, small sports area/Court, good park gym and nice walk around the outside or into the flower gardens. Everything you need from a park!
