Lovely little railway.santa special today with grandson.friendly staff, good cafe & gift shop,Santa was really good.great value for money grandson got to choose gift.sausage roll mince pie and drink included in price.worth another trip in summer.
Good value and a fun couple of hours. It isn't the most beautiful train ride at the start as it goes through an industrial estate before reaching the country park. It then stops for a while at the station while you have time to explore the little museum, look around at all the other train engines and visit the cafe. At PS20 for a compartment that can seat up to 6 I felt it was good value and it was enjoyed by the adults and children
Visit: Sunday 7th April 2024 - A fantastic Railway! The staff are brilliant, and I must thank the lovely young chap at Kemsley Down (Station master, I think) for giving me and my family a tour around the station, and for telling us the history of the area. I did not get your name, but my daughter said it began with an 'A', so thank you young man! Your doing an amazing job and I am sure your mangments are proud of you. I really enjoyed it and so did my family. I was told by a few people that have come before that it would be a horrible experiance, but we just loved it!! I cannot thank you enough. However, I would expect much more frequent train services instead of every hour, the wait can get boring, expecially at the sittinbourne end. I also found the new time table layout rather confusing with a barcode. Other then that 10/10! We shall be back!!
Fantastic for children... great for adults -really good facilities ,cafe and picnic area. What a lovely day out for a very good price.
The Santa Special was Superb (that's a little in joke for those who know). We took a group of 40 from our Beaver Scout Colony and the children loved every single second. From the ride on the train to the party food at the cafe to meeting the big man himself. They also got to choose their own gift from an array of presents that were of a higher quality than one might expect for the price. Talking of which, the experience, which lasts a good 90 minutes, was remarkable value for money. There are Santa grottos elsewhere that will charge the same for a ten minute visit as we paid for a whole afternoon of festive fun. Hugely recommended.
A great day out to see Father Christmas on the railway. The 3yo loved it and thought it was amazing getting a generous gift to take away!
