Kids had a great time here climbing and overcoming different obstacles. Staff (bar one person) were very helpful when assistance was requested. Didn't realise this place existed in the Chelmsford area. Good camping and training ground for the Cadet, Army, Boys Scout, etc
Nice place for both adults and children. Lovely workers who were humble in looking after all types of children.
A glorious activity and camping site run by the Scouts. My kids enjoyed a weekend there with the cubs in September 2023. Plus they went back one evening to spend a couple of hours kayaking on the lake. The instructor was really good and they had a great time. The site is very well maintained, with nice buildings and facilities. The high ropes and climbing towers all look top quality. The camping fields are large and well maintained. Great place and much better than the 1980s sites I went to.
Great activity site for Scouts of all sections. Knowledgeable staff and great facilities. Had a great weekend there with 30 Cubs.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a SEN child. The team member Abbie needs more training after making 3 SEN children from a school trip cry after shouting at them and the General manager Pat needs to learn some manners. I called to make a complaint about the terrible time my son had on his school trip because of Abbie and pat was very offended that I was complaining. She took the complaint very personally, kept talking over me, was EXTREMELY rude and belittling me absolutely shambles of a place!! Please avoid
I was here 2019 with my scout group from germany and we realy enjoyed our stay. There are plenty of fire sites and sanitary facilities (which could be a bit cleaner but it was okay). The staff is great they helped us with all our needings and are allways their for you. We rented on of woodhouses, which are located all over the campe site, as a kitchen and this was the perfect choice for our stay. Thanks for this amazing week!!
