Slitting Mill is a 18th-century ironworks and former slitting mill located in the village of Rock, Northumberland, England. The mill is a rare surviving example of a slitting mill, which was used to slit iron into thin strips for use in the manufacture of nails, horse shoes, and other metal goods. The mill is powered by a large overshot water wheel and features a range of original machinery, including a slitting engine, shears, and anvils. The mill's industrial heritage is still evident in its rugged, functional architecture, with exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and a slate roof.
