The reserve is managed to conserve its natural beauty and to protect the local wildlife, and it is also an important site for education and research.
Nice little natural space, it has a little pond and quite a few seats. Only a 10 to 15-minute walk . It's a shame it's a bit run down, but it relays on volunteers for the upkeep.
A lovely place for a short walk or to sit by the pond and watch the wildlife. We have seen many birds including Herons. We have also recently seen Roe deer. Loved the painted stones, added a few of our own.
Beautiful, hidden jewel. We only discovered this recently, after living in North Camp for years! The pond was very pretty and covered in dragon flies. Worth a visit!
A fantastic local park and nature reserve for all to enjoy. A real fixture of the local community that is so good that even the efforts of the belligerent old man who owns the field next door cannot ruin our enjoyment!
One day when I was here and seeing the sheep that were staying in the spring in 2017. I witnessed a malnourished sheep stuck in the thorns unable to move, when we tried to call the staff they didn't reply. It had been stuck there for days, and me and my father had to rescue it. It shows how much effort has been put into this reserve.
Nice place to walk, needs investment to improve its learning resources as there is only one cracked sign about the area. Broken or rotten seats.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
