A picturesque coastal cove with turquoise waters, surrounded by rugged cliffs and lush greenery, offering scenic views, tranquil atmosphere, and opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation.
Cute beach right near the hotel of the same name. Lots of hikes in the area as well - dogs are allowed year round.
Beautiful sandy beach with some rocks as well. Dog friendly even summertime, what is amazing! Car park is paid, but very friendly price in hotel reception. You will need to walk through the field from car park to beach, but it is not a very long walk, still enjoyable as all south west coastline. We climbed on a hills as well to see what is next and view was amazing!
Time this walk from the carpark with a low tide, treat the Highland Cows you'll meet along the way with respect, and you'll be in for a treat like no other. At hide tide it appears little more than a small cove. At low tide however it opens up into the most breathtaking beach; one you'd expect to fine in tropical isles. It's not the easiest walk to get there & back, it's definitely not for the faint hearted, but the stunning coastal path and views make it all the more worth while. I'm lucky enough to call Devon home and Soar Mill Cove, at either low or hide tide, is one of my favourite atmospheric beaches.
Very nice beach. Not crowded. Had a long walk from the carpark but amazing coastal views. Clear water. Would go again
This place is absolutely breath taking. The views, wild life and local facilities make Soar mill cove a hidden gem and I'm so lucky I get to call this place home for the foreseeable future I can often be spotted clearing the beach of left over litter and taking photographs from the surrounding hills
Small quiet dog-friendly beach, which has a fresh water run-off, accessible from South West Coast Path or public footpath near Soar Mill Cove Hotel. Rocky entrance. Sheep and cattle graze nearby. Can pick up a bit of litter after a storm. Bathing/paddling safe close to shore...wouldn't advise going further out. Lovely for an evening dog walk or bbq and chill but please take your rubbish with you and leave only
