The valley is surrounded by towering mountains, including the Munro peak, Sgurr a' Mhaoraich, and features a serene loch, Loch Duich. Today, Soldiers Leap is a popular destination for hikers, nature enthusiasts, and those seeking to immerse themselves in Scotland's rich history and breathtaking landscapes.
Lovely forest and paths to walk down on. The views are amazing. I came down here with my 75 year old grandmother she really loved it. Car park cost was PS4 for full day
I first came here as a child and have been many many times, the scenery is stunning, plenty of beautiful walking/hiking trails with lots of benches for having a rest. The viaduct is a wonderful piece of engineering and with waterfalls it is so peaceful. An historic place and lots of information along the way, aswell as information boards beside the cafe. I would recommend to anyone in the area to visit.
Picturesque to its best. Must must visit spot when you are in Perth. We went during Autumn and that's with the beautiful colours. I am sure any season won't disappoint. You walk all the way down to see the rock, the site from which Donald McBane leapt across the river Garry. The walk is so relaxing. It's a narrow path, but a lot to enjoy as you head to the spot.
A beautiful place to visit for a walk. Many people, including local companies, use it as a safe location for cliff jumping (if you're not sure what you're doing, hire a local guide).
Relaxing stop and greenery for drivers on the Perth route to the north.
PS4 to park. Uneven ground and slippery in places. Recommend going left to the bridge/railway arches. Otherwise not much too see
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
