Restored hilltop landmark dating from 1896, offering Peak District views from the top of its tower.
Great walk to Solomon's. We parked at Grin Low car park. It's PS2 to park with an honesty box, plus free toilets. Lovely short walk, about half a mile to the temple. Temple was great to walk up. Lots of woodland around to explore there.
Fabulous trails, great day walks from buxton. Lovely views. You can climb to the top of the temple for even better view!
Great walk, great views, even the industrial scars in the distance. Recommend it for the May BH. Fabulous for children, dogs and all those who accompany them! Steep and a little uneven in places, but we'll worth the effort. Pay and display at the xar park.
Loverly little walk from the carpark. There is different trails to for longer distances, if wanted. Car park is free but a courtesy box is there aswell. The temple looks good and with no cost would be brilliant outing (pic nic) with kids
Great place for a walk. You can go up the temple and once you get up there, the views on a clear day are amazing. We always walk through the woods and down to the cafe, which also homes a go ape and pools cavern. then back up the other side.
Well worth the hike up the hill to get a great view of Buxton and the surrounding Peak District. Not a lot to the actual Temple, but at least you can get inside and climb to the top
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
