Great place to visit and very interesting and informative. It gives you an insight into the first world war and the history of the local men and women from the country who went to war. There are very well informed guides who will make the experience more enjoyable for children. Our group really enjoyed the overall experience and our 3 guides were first class and knew how to make it interesting for the children.
Worth a visit if you take the tour which is every hour on the hour (but not necessarily) so call ahead to make sure they're there and they know you're coming. It's not a busy museum and there's a risk you'll turn up and be disappointed. HOWEVER, I turned up and met tour guide Andy and was not disappointed. Im researching a novel and I couldn't have asked for a better guy to show me round. He was happy to answer questions and really helped me find the info I needed.
What an informative place. I am very pleased we visited this museum. The info on display about this period in history is as good as you would expect. The staff there were only to happy to talk about the museum as well as the local area. Thank you.
Great tour and tour guide you need to take the tour if you are going here for a visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we didn't have to book online or in advance. If you are going in a large group I would say you would be best to ring in advance. We were able to park outside and there were no car parking fees
Lots of information well displayed. The member of staff at the reception desk was very helpful. A worthwhile visit. Recommended.
