Another heritage railway visited and ticked off. Gentleman in the ticket office noticed my walking stick and so delicately drew our attention to a disabled traveller concession. Absolutely stunning customer service demonstrated! The railway itself is very well maintained and a delight to travel!

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday to celebrate my Mum's birthday. We enjoyed a trip to Totnes, the beautiful country side, wonderful railway nostalgia. The staff/volunteers, every one of them, were lovely, friendly, and looked after us, including Mabel, the dog! We also enjoyed lunch and ice-cream in Birdies Kitchen. Again, friendly staff, lovely food (especially the cheesy chips!) and a nice relaxed atmosphere. And thank you for the ice cream treat!!! It was all a great afternoon. THANK YOU.

Today we went on the railway and we had a great experience, the staff were great and the train was awesome. Lots to do at each stop and even time for a hot pasty on the way to the places. We stopped at totnes and had a great day

Very pleasant trip on this line. Lots of free parking at Buckfastleigh. Everyone involved with the railway we encountered was lovely. Had drinks on the train, delivered to our seats, and reasonably priced.

I had a great day out on the South Devon Railway Heritage Line from Totnes to Buckfastleigh Abbey by steam, Taking only 30 mins. Totnes stn is just 10 mins walk from the town ,Follow street signs, I pre booked my adult ticket return for PS19 (March 2024 prices) I got on the 10:30 and we reached Buckfastleigh Abbey stn in half a hour stopping at Staverton stn on the way. At Buckfastleigh there's a cafe, a otter sanctuary, a butterfly centre, and when I visited there was a model train layout and a miniature train that great for small kids. And a classic car show. I left the stn to walk to Buckfastleigh Abbey which took 20 mins. Came back by diesel, And all of the volunteers were fantastic.
