A 4-mile stretch of coastline in Hampshire, England, featuring a sandy beach, calm waters, and a picturesque promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and amusement arcades. Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and water sports, as well as take a stroll along the seafront, visit the Southsea Castle, or ride the Southsea Ferris Wheel for panoramic views of the Solent Strait.
Nice beach with great views and lot of entertainment for everyone. Pier is also nice. Lot of parking space also available.
Beautiful beach with amazing sights and was very clean. There's plenty of places nearby as well such as ice cream shops and fish and chips. I would absolutely recommend visiting here when in Portsmouth!
Great pebble beach. When the weathers lovely, get yourself down there. Parking on the road above is PS4.50 for 3 hours which is reasonable. Go to one of the ice cream places and sit in the sun.
The place is very relaxing, after a busy day just a perfect walk to relax and unwind, oh yes not forgetting the ice cream.
The vast and mesmerizing sea, with its rhythmic waves and endless horizons, continues to captivate our senses. Its beauty not only soothes the soul but also harbors a diverse ecosystem, showcasing the wonders of nature. As we appreciate the sea's magnificence, let's strive to protect and preserve this invaluable source of life for generations to come.
What a pleasant day spent on Southsea beach. There is a section fenced off at one end where substantial reinforcement work is taking place. However, that doesn't really detract as the beach is so extensive. It is a mixture of mainly pebble but with sand. There are plenty of little cafes dotted along to make any walk comfortable if you need a break, a drink or cover from the rain. The beach was clean and the water appeared so. Nice for dogs walks too.
