Splashdown Quaywest will open again for 2024 on 4th May 2024. We will be operating with all online ticket bookings only. We are anticipating a busy summer with our brand new Shipwreck Island Aquaplay attraction - tickets are on sale now through our website. NEW 3 lane multi slide 3Fall, slide on our head first mat racer ride! Find out more on our website and click explore the park! Waterpark, sea and beach right there, what a brilliant combination for the best day out with the family, on the beautiful English Riviera on sunny south Devon coast. Cool down with a frappe at our Costa Coffee store on the beachfront! No waterpark admission necessary, just walk in from the beach, dog friendly too!
Had 3:30 pm session on a hot day, by 5 pm there were no queues at all and we went countless times on every ride we wanted. Amazing place and really fun rides, Devil's Drop was the scariest of all but my teenagers went on it multiple times. We mostly enjoyed the donuts rides.
Great aqua park near beach! Awesome slides, very good temperature of water great position of the park! There are 9 slides devils drop (my favorite), 2 on aircraft's , 3 on the raps, 2 normal, and 1 race slide. Also we had a great weather: sunny hot day! Very good day in splash down.
Visited this waterpark on a gloriously hot august day whilst on holiday, 2 adults, children ages 15,12,7 and a baby. I think this waterpark is fab for children who love water aged over 2 years old. No good for my baby but she was happy enough watching all the children. My 7 year old absolutely loved the new pirate island which opened recently (may 2024) which is great for the under 12s as advertised. We were there for 4 hours and my 7 year old only left pirate island twice to go on the bigger slides with my partner and then straight back to pirate island, infact he never came back to me once, I had to get him at the end of our session he was having so much fun. Lol. The bigger kids and my partner loved the big slides and they would of stayed longer, lol. But the queues were no problem and went down fast despite it being school summer holidays and a red hot Friday (pure sun and 24 degrees) found a seat quickly and easily enough too even though we entered at 1pm, as they have plenty of sun loungers as well as picnic benches around. Abit pricey but that's just they way things are at the minute so it was expected. But definitely a great place on a sunny day and I would definitely return. Tip. You have to book online and cannot pay at the gate, although they do allow u to stand and book it on your phone yourself at the gate. We will return if we ever stay in Devon again
Second visit now and was again a great experience. Loved addition of the new kids Shipwreck Island area and the face first 3Fall. 10yo adopted a new favourite, Wild Kamikaze. Lots more seating areas and sun loungers. Recommend a shorty wetsuit if its not sunny, however the water is warmer than the air temperature. Queue times short, which is great. Definitely be back!
I have not been to Splashdown for years! The staff were lovely, friendly and chatty - when they could be. The Pirates Island was a fun starter for my 8 year old, but we ventured to the flumes and had a whale of a time. Plenty of stairs to climb, but the queues moved quickly and other visitors happy and also enjoying their time. Plenty of parking, easy to find and no real queue to enter. Great that you have time slots, as things got busier after lunch.
Visited with 2 kids under 12. They had a great time and we will visit again. The site isn't huge, and the slides wind round each other. This means when it's busy, it's quite chaotic. There's also a lot of stairs for the bigger rides, and I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. I'd definitely recommend visiting earlier in the morning as the afternoon got very busy. We were lucky with the weather. Changing rooms were chaotic, but as clean as could be expected with the number of people. It would have been helpful to have clocks displayed around the rides so people could see how much time was remaining.
