Lovely park with 25 Schnauzers! Coffee & snacks shop very good, with nice toilets! One thing, should have more iron chairs outside, only 6 for 3 tables? Could add one more table where flag was & double to 12 chairs or 3 per table... Of course secured inside at night! Good Luck
Beautiful place to visit and walk around. Took my 3 year old daughter and all the ducks came up to her, she loved it. Had a picnic while looking over the lake and the play area is safe and fun for children. Recommend this place.

It's a nice park that is always kept tidy and well maintained. However, young teens always seem to spoil it on the evenings over the weekend. You'll see them disappear up into the trees with their alcohol in large groups. They're probably harmless but it's still not somewhere you'd wanna follow behind when out walking your dog. For that reason I never walk my dog up that way in the mornings or evenings, I stick to the path.
Travelled here as a last minute idea to feed the ducks! Very quiet considering how nice a day it was, nice walk, park for the kids and an ice cream what more could you want!
Hetton lakes is brilliant for a short walk around the track with kids and dog. And the little cafe is handy and well priced.
