This farm museum showcases traditional rural life and farming practices in Cornwall, featuring a collection of vintage tractors, carts, and agricultural equipment. The museum is set within a 16th-century farmhouse and offers insight into the social and agricultural history of the region. Visitors can explore the farmhouse, barns, and outbuildings, and learn about the daily lives of farmers and their families in the past. The museum also features exhibits on Cornish farming traditions, including the production of dairy products, and offers a glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage.
What a wonderful random find a museum of museums I don't think anything's changed here for a looooong time. Lots of old farm machinery and aids with faded signs. Certainly an idyllic spot with a little picnic area at the front with tables, chairs and chickens running around. At the entrance is Angies home produce including freshly laid eggs for sale.
I have to come back. I didn't have loose change for a donation and this gem of rural life deserves every penny to survive. Such great history, farm implements, a great collection of stationary engines and tractors - if only I could offer to fettle with a few they'd soon be chugging away! Visit the next door church of St Winnow and leave feeling that the dearly departed interned there are a lucky bunch of old souls. A great find off the beaten track.
This is not a review as St Winnow is an amazing place to sit and unwind. I am asking about the food van that's opposite the Museum, i was there 2 years ago and the Cheese Burger was amazing the cheese was thick, my ask is this is the food van still there and still serving food and drink. Thank you.
It a cool place of tractors and different machines and I really loved it
Classic Cornish museum. A shed full of "stuff". All with its own character. Angie's catering van is a great place to get a burger or fry up. Delicious. The meat comes from the local farm.
A very quirky collection of various farming implements, crammed into couple of huge sheds. Pay a visit to Angie's Kiosk (not open Mondays) for wonderful, heart-stopping burgers made from local produce. Also homemade Cornish pasties are available to take away too.
