Welcome to St. James's Park, the oldest Royal Park. Explore the beautiful St. James's Park, home to a stunning array of wildlife, including the famous pelicans and avenues of trees stretching the length of The Mall and Birdcage Walk. Nestled amidst three historic palaces, St. James's Park is also integral to royal ceremonies. Its iconic views include No. 10 Downing Street, the majestic Houses of Parliament, and the regal Buckingham Palace. Our light, airy cafe is in the heart of the park, with great views over St James's Lake. With hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and salads, cakes and ice cream to enjoy on the terrace or takeaway in the park.
What a beautiful, peaceful park! It is so large and wonderful. It is the perfect place to just sit and rest or reflect. There are a lot of activities going on, but you can find a place to just have your space and enjoy. We found ourselves seeking the park out to rest while visiting the area. You can just find a shady spot and sit in the grass and take a nap. Would highly recommend for your picnic, visiting, napping, or other outdoor activities! We loved it and will be back when we get back to the area.
An amazing place for a picnic and a nice day out with the family or a solo stroll past the lake and seeing the many birds roaming the grounds. We went here after walking through Green park and seeing the palace. It has a playground with plenty for the children to enjoy and play around. There are also benches around the park if you don't want to have picnic or sit on the ground.
A beautiful park just behind the Royal Horse Guards building complex. The pictures here are of a beautiful little cottage and working garden which is not open to visitors, but used as offices for the volunteers who manage the gardens,
Large green space with plenty of shady areas to sit and rest along with many walking paths to wander about the park. The park also contains a large lake filled with ducks & geese with other birds sitting at the waters edge. During the summer there are many gardens filled with amazing flowers, just so beautiful Worth a walk through on you way around the city.
I think this is my favorite park in London. It is beautiful in every season. If you are visiting London for a short time, this is definitely the park you should visit.
Gorgeous park! So clean, tidy, with sweet little critters to accompany us during a thoroughly pleasant stroll - ducks, geese, squirrels, and birds Visited in early May, on a sunny day, and walked through on our way from the Palace to Trafalgar Square - loads to see along the way and an obvious favourite for visitors, judging by the sheer number of people on the day!
