Visited the Broch of Gurness, the St Magnus way runs along the side. The St. Magnus Way is a fantastic walk. I have only every walk section. The scenery is fantastic, no matter the weather. Will need to try the full way next time.
I walked the southern part of the St Magnus Way, which had only recently been opened, beginning at Earls Bu in Orphir. On a stunningly sunny day, it was a beautiful walk over Scapa Flow, and passing Waulkmill Bay.
Great views! Fun to get onto the beach!!
Nice place to listen to the sea and you often see a selki(seal)in the shallows
Visited Broch of Gurness, an ancient village. Fascinating and I found it better than Skara Brae personally. Could get closer to the stones. Very quiet and peaceful place indeed with stunning views and scenery.
NOT done the full walk but from what we've seen it looks well sign posted.
