A picturesque beach with soft golden sand, nestled in a secluded bay surrounded by towering white cliffs and lush green hills, offering a tranquil atmosphere and stunning views of the English Channel.
There's not much to see. However the view and cliff itself are fantastic! If you have a camper van, it's an amazing place to just relax and listen to the water. Come off season or weekday at least for peace. Highly recommend if you even just enjoy taking a few great pics.
Lovely, little corner in the Kent coast. After a 20-minute walk from the lighthouse, we reached the beach. It was peaceful, and there was plenty of space for sitting downstairs, sunbathing, and walking. If you are visiting in August, I think the best time for low tide is before 11-11.30 am. However, it is best to check before going. We also enjoyed a pint at the Coastguard (a pub overlooking the beach with lovely and friendly staff) before our hike to St Margaret's Bay. Perfect spot for everyone, including families with kids.
Really beautiful scenery, shale beach though. Ice cream truck and bar/ restaurant on the sea front. Beautiful view of the white cliffs. Just a pity it's on the wrong side for a sunset! I imagine the sun rise is amazing here. Down side is the pay to park! There's not much around so can't imagine people would be leaving cars here long term. So seems a shame and a quick cash grab.
Amazing place. The drive down the narrow road can be a bit tricky, be prepared to reverse into or stop so cars can cross. But it's definitely worth it.
Really nice if you've not been here before. Parking can be a little awkward if you manage to navigate the narrow lanes to the bottom. Not ideal for disabled or people with walking issues.
A really nice and tranquil village with old charm. Easy access to the beach area where you can have a breathtaking view of the White Dover Cliffs. Quaint pub and tea house (only open certain days)! A nice break before boarding the ferry - 30 min drive thru the rolling hills. Highly recommend this short detour.
