This 14th-century chapel is situated on the summit of St Michael's Mount, a tidal island off the coast of Cornwall, England. The chapel's rugged exterior belies its beautiful interior, adorned with stunning stained-glass windows and intricate stone carvings.
We were very lucky with the weather but the short walk to the chapel was a great activity to do with the family. The car park is a PS1, I would bring a pound as the online app charges PS1.30. Worth it though.
Small little walk to the chapel (about a mile). Dog friendly, panaramic views of the ocean and cliff beaches. Chapel is very basic but the views are stunning on a good day. We also manage to see some wild horses relaxing in the sun cliff side of the chapel. If have dogs, be sure to keep them on the leads near the chapel if the horses are around. Also saw some walks along the cliffs which looked pretty. Cheap parking available aswell (PS1 for the day)
Loved the walk to St Michael's Chapel. Beautiful views in all direction. The horses were grazing on the hillside on the walk up to the chapel.
Beautiful place to walk to magnificent views.
Imagine yourself 1,000 years ago keeping lookout for invaders in this solid piece of history in a picturesque corner of Cornwall
Can park at Rame head car park, PS1 for a day parking. I walked coastal path, scenery is beautiful, chapel is small but stunning, there are always horses around this area. Definitely worth a visit.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
