Went there for the first time since 1986. Was in the area and thought it might be nice to go back and see the old place and sit on the same beach we grew up on. Oh dear. Won't be going again. Changed beyond all recognition and so has the actual beach. Sometimes the past is best off as a lovely, warm, wonderful memory.
Plain old fashioned seaside day out for friends and family. Easy parking (April). Friendly people. Plenty of places to sit, eat and drink. A nice seaside Cafe, a Fish and Chip Shop and pub on site. Playground and small amusement arcade. Easy access to beach and dog friendly.
Attended the market today. It was busy with a good choice of stalls offering things such as clothing, household items, electrical items, sweets, toys and footwear. At weekends fresh fish and meat is also available
The market is only small, but there is a playground for the kids and you can also take a walk along the prom.
Seriously gone down hill since I last went. Wasn't even there an hour. No card facilities, everywhere wanted cash only. In response to the market owners comment.. I ve been going to St Osyth for many years, and it's not what it was. The market wasn't on the day I went and frankly the area was under water so wouldn't have been on anyway. My review isn't a reflection of just the market but the place as a whole isn't what it was. The cafe and shop I visited didn't take card payment.
Visited with a friend today, sun was out so popped in for a quick drink and a bag a chips it was quite and refreshing will visit again everyone friendly
