This 13th-century church features a striking tower with a broach spire, surrounded by a picturesque churchyard. The interior boasts a medieval nave, ornate stone carvings, and stunning stained-glass windows. The church's tranquil atmosphere and historic significance make it a popular destination for those seeking a glimpse into England's rich past.
Recently attended a funeral which was really lovely and felt magical in this wonderful church. Most of it is original, including the windows. If you're a fan of village churches this is definitely one to see.
Visited St. Peter's Church , Edgmond on Saturday 07 September 2019 as it was the starting point for the Edgmond Scarecrow Trail. There were a number of stalls outside the church all staffed by very friendly locals. Inside the church is a large space with sandstone walls. The people running the trail were welcoming at the table inside the church. A part of the knave had been set up for refreshments and everyone seemed happy to spend time sharing their experiences with us.
The Church is built from sandstone which gives it some splendour. Pretty good church stained windows.
This year's Holy Week services have been superb - incredibly moving [spiritually, & supportively - to each individual, as well as collectively]
Beautiful church in the village. Well worth a visit . Lots of the original Norman church still left
