This 254-acre park features a stunning combination of woodland, grassland, and water, with the River Tame running through it. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks, cycling trails, and horse riding routes, as well as picnic areas and a children's play area. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and insects, and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Great Sunday morning walk.. peaceful, easy to follow signage, on a good day which this was ypu can get some amazing views and pictures..it's a great walk whether it's dry or raining ..30 mins from Stalybridge town centre..parking available too
Great place for a walk, hike or ride with many paths to select. Also liked the fact it has disabled accessible routes. Its very quiet and peaceful and if you love bird watching then this is probably a good place to do so. Only downside is there isn't any designated parking place so if you have a car then you're better to park off the road towards the reservoir.
Such a nice walk. See the lake, ponds and resivoir. Lots of different paths to take. Walked through the cow field with no bother at all and petted the horses. Some lovely views.
Covering an enormous area it was uncrowded and slightly hilly it has bridle paths and bare earth paths which could be muddy in wet conditions. Great walk up to see long ranging countryside views.
Really nice walks. Loops around the valley and reservoirs. Didn't do as much as would have liked as had a buggy with us. That said most of pathways are fit for a pram. Totally going back to explore further.
Lovely walk, choice of routes with miles wide paths an option on muddier days, or over dirt tracks when weather better. Beautiful views, not ever too busy like dovestones can be. Lack of bins is my only issue, so occasionally see dog poo bags hanging on bushes, which is a shame.
