This beautiful country park in Northern Ireland features scenic woodland walks, a tranquil lake, and a variety of wildlife. The park's 220 acres of woodland and heathland offer several walking trails, including the 2-mile Lake Walk and the 1-mile Woodland Walk, which take visitors through mature woodland, heathland, and grassland. The lake is home to a variety of waterbirds, and the park is also a haven for red squirrels. Visitors can enjoy a picnic or barbecue in the designated areas, and the park's playground and outdoor gym provide entertainment for kids and adults alike. The park's visitor centre offers information on the park's history, geology, and wildlife, as well as a café serving refreshments.
Lovely peaceful walk....my pooch loved challenging the squirrels
Small little park with a circular walk, lot of work being done so not the best right now
If you want a nice easy walk through ancient woodland then this is a great place. It has very hard paths so suitable for the majority of people. The paths loop round to to car park but if your unsure google will guide you. I saw lots of wildlife and it was a peaceful beautiful place. Lots of dog walkers but I didn't see any dog mess so credit to them. The carpark is a good size and reasonably maintained. If your a senior citizen I think most of the walks are okay as the paths are very firm but take sticks just to be safe...
Nice place for a walk. Peaceful and well looked after.
Excellent little woods to walk your dog
Use it walk our Springer puppy. Wooded area with a few pools right in the middle of civilisation. Fabulous to walk with or without a dog. Small car park for a handful of cars. Getting out of the car park onto the main road is a nightmare as the road is very busy. We love it and our puppy loves it even more. Loads of exits in every direction onto the surrounding housing estates. Happy to recommend.
