Statfold Country Park is a unique family attraction and railway with one of the largest collections of narrow-gauge locomotives, Toby's Barn Play and Climb, Retro Roller Disco and much more!
We love it here, my son is currently 4 years old. Each time we visit there are new things to see or play on. There are 2 small train rides, a fair ground swing ride which is free and plenty of play areas. They also have crazy golf and an indoor soft play and climbing wall which is fabulous. They run events here for all ages and the trains in the museum part are just beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!
First time visit today. Great if you like trains and a great place to kill half a day. There is roller blading, kids soft play and a cafe. I noticed an abnormal amount of toilets. They are everywhere. lol. Very impressed.
Camped at Statfold for the big weekender event. A hidden gem. Besides the festival got access to the trains. Awesome acts and enjoyed by all. We pitched our van on the hardstanding area. With water and electricity on the pitch. Water tap was shared between two pitches so a Y piece on the tap meant van was fully plumbed in. Pitches were close to the Elsan point and toilets and showers if you wanted to use them Pitches were level Other options were grass pitches no electric and grass pitches with electric and shared water points. Only negative point was that the hardstanding pitches consisted of compacted masonry hardcore. Unless you had screw pegs or exceptionally heavy duty rock pegs you would not be getting your awning up. A number of people changed pitches as they found it nigh on impossible to pitch the awnings up. Just be prepared to spend some time on departure day digging your pegs out of the ground. Toilets were great and clean and staff did a great job looking after them. Even the owner came around on the day we were leaving letting campers know that the departure time of 1200 was relaxed and to pack up in our own time.
I went to the roller rink for the first time with friends, we loved it! The floor is a perfect texture for skating, the rink is large, so although there were mainly children, I wasn't worried about mowing them down! The price was good too, PS8 to skate and PS2 if you need to hire skates. The Staff were helpful and friendly, we'll definitely go back
Bank Holiday Monday we had a great time, something for the whole family, steam trains are fun, excellent service with wheelchairs to get on trains, diner was clean, service great, prices fair and choices spot on for food. Good place for them showery days we get as lots of indoor and outdoor space. Easter panto was very good, overall a fantastic day had by all the family ages 5 months to 84 years.
I went to a small classic car show at the Country Park and was impressed with everything else it had to offer . There were two train rides , a lovely nature walk , a great museum of small steam engines and agricultural steam engines . There is also a roller disco which was PS10 for a two hour session including skate hire and all safety equipment pads , helmets etc , plus two nice food outlets not badly priced and a bar serving alcohol, soft drinks and hot drinks . There is also a nice play area for children with a zip line and swings . And a soft play area and climbing wall . The train rides were great fun . Only 45 minutes from Birmingham near Tamworth . A great day out plus exercise on the walks . They have many events on throughout the year and is well worth checking there website . A really enjoyable day out
