This 18th-century estate features a stunning Palladian mansion surrounded by 300 acres of picturesque parkland, designed by renowned landscape architect Lancelot "Capability" Brown. The estate's centerpiece is the majestic Stoke Park Mansion, boasting an impressive facade, beautifully manicured lawns, and a tranquil lake. Visitors can explore the mansion's opulent interiors, adorned with intricate plasterwork, crystal chandeliers, and fine art collections. The estate's grounds offer scenic walking trails, a tennis court, and a golf course, providing ample opportunities for outdoor recreation.
This is my new go to place for great cycle ride! Love it up here with the great views. You can't really escape the sound of the M32 in the distance but it's still brilliant. Bit disappointed to see some religious propaganda heat sealed onto the cycle track. As an Atheist I resent someone foisting their views on people. I've reported to have it removed by the Council website or does anyone have any ideas on it's removal????
I come to Bristol to work and get the opportunity during lunch to come to this beautiful and varied park landscape which is part of the estate. Many miles of footpaths both paved and unpaved trails. Lots of historical landmarks within the vicinity and adjacent. Plenty of open space to walk, cycle and dog walk.
This is one of the best parka I have been to in Bristol, nature, relaxing, big state, with fish pond and alot of scenery for brsitol skyline. However, the miss some signs of guidance of where to get from wher, there are smalls pathways which you need to open to access different spaces, but signs should be on those doors to guide you where to go. I think they need like a map at many corners.
Really beautiful park, a bit muddy after the rain, but cannot stop people and their pet having walk social here for a lovely weekend. Swan and the duck in the pond so brave not scared by me but actually attracted by my coffee cup. It was myself and up scared away.
First time visiting. Beautiful scenery and thoroughly enjoyed our walk.
It's a nice place, but the proximity of the M32 makes it difficult to block out the noise of passing cars even when running with headphones in.
