This ancient woodland is a tranquil oasis, boasting a rich tapestry of tree species, including oak, beech, and birch. The woods are crisscrossed by winding paths and trails, inviting visitors to explore the secrets of this mystical realm. In the spring, the forest floor is carpeted with a vibrant display of bluebells, while summer brings a lush canopy of green, and autumn paints the landscape with warm hues of gold and crimson. A really nice place to go for a walk with family or friends. Good for dog walking and geocaching and all in all a good afternoon/evening out. Would highly reccomend.
Beautiful area, lovely views , could be a million miles from civilization
Managed to get a 6 mile walk in my going all the way around the bridal path, the dogs loved the stream
An ancient woodland that is excellent for dog walks (especially in high summer as much is shaded by the tall trees) and family strolls. It has lots of paths off the main gravel tracks around all things woodlands. Beautiful place with a few woodland hills and little streams in parts. If you're lucky you may spot a deer, we have on many occasions. The woods have multiple entry points which helps to mix it up. Note: The main car parks can fill up in nice weather. Some muddy tracks mean you should wear your wellies in rainy weather, but great place to visit all year round.
Beautiful Woodland with beech and pines. Plenty of wildlife. Circular walks so hard to get lost. Perfect for dog walking, there is a bike park inside specifically for biking. Beautiful in autumn.
