This tranquil nature reserve features a picturesque pond surrounded by lush vegetation and walking trails, providing a serene escape for visitors to connect with nature.
Who knew? Right next to the retail park, you have a wonderful wee walk to Straiton pond and its wildlife. The reserve links to the Rosslyn Chapel way which is a wonderfully converted disused railway line.
Very peaceful, nice scenery Nice to see the swans
Very nice circle/walking path linking Lasswade Road to Straiton Park. My toddler loves it.
A while since I have been here. The artwork in the bypass underpass is awesome. Urban art gallery. Still a little gem in the middle of the urban sprawl
Lovely to visit for a walk with benches spread out. However, it's a shame people still fish here despite signs clearly stating 'NO FISHING'. Two men left yesterday (Tuesday 18 July 2023) at 9:02pm with fishing rods. Picture of car and license plate of the two "fishermen" attached. I will be reporting this to the appropriate authority as this is simply unacceptable.
Just passed through on a bike ride. Hidden away but following the paths you'll come across it. There are a couple of places to sit by the pond.
