Streatham Green is a charming village green in the heart of Streatham, South London, surrounded by historic buildings, cafes, and shops. The green itself is a tranquil oasis, featuring a large grassy area, mature trees, and a picturesque pond with a fountain. Visitors can stroll along the winding paths, sit on benches, or enjoy a picnic on the grass while taking in the serene atmosphere.
Actually it's a bit of a dive, not very clean, lots of pigeons & unsavoury characters which just makes it even worse .
It is a mess of an area. Rubbish bags all over the place, bins always full, lot's of alcoholics always sitting and drinking on the green and going to the toilet there. It's just a run down area.
We booked their four poster bed which was larger than a king size and very comfortable. Room was large with two big armchairs, a large screen TV and coffee/tea making. Bathroom was great too with a bath and shower attached. The meal we had later was superb. I had the cod with scallops special and my partner the duck breast in blackcurrant sauce. Both were beautifully presented and both were delicious.. we will be back to try the rest of the menu soon...
Nice place to get a rest after walking. They could use more benches and less pigeons.
If only the place truly looks like the picture, then it's great. The Local Council could double up the cleanliness of the place, knowing that there are high numbers of customers moving about the area.
This is more of a thoroughfare between bus stops It is not a place for children and families. Nor is it a green for leisure activities, unless of the dubious kind. I use it to change buses ;-)
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Wheelchair-accessible car park
