This 19th-century lighthouse stands 14 meters tall on a rugged headland overlooking the North Sea, its red and white striped tower a striking landmark on the Yorkshire coast.
Lovely location but the roads are very narrow to get there. Plenty of free parking and really enjoyed watching the seals on the rocks below the lighthouse. You can follow the coastal path to see some spectacular views.
Wonderful views all along. Road leading to the lighthouse car park is slightly narrow. Although entry to the lighthouse is allowed only twice per year, the views from this spot are amazing. We got to spot plenty of seals really close and the trial path from the car park has amazing views.
Free parking 24/7 puts you right on a coastal path to be explored both directions. Coastal shuttle bus stops there as well, makes it very convenient to get back to the car. Fabulous sunsets. Stunning coast line. No crowds....
Great place for a walk along the coast! If you follow the coast path towards Fishguard, there's a "viewpoint" where the scenery is just breathtaking! If you keep walking, there's gonna be a little bay where we actually managed to spot a few seal. They were too shy to come out from the water but it still was an amazing experience!
Lovely location to visit. Lighthouse not open to visit, gate is locked on the bridge. Views are amazing from all sides
Arriving there very early on a summer morning. But there were other early risers enjoying the refreshing morning walks.
