Only stopped off briefly to have a wonder around the high street and walk along the sea front and pier at Southwold. Nice little town with some nice cafes and eating places. Not much to see, parking free along the sea front.

When you get the weather its absolutely lovely. And if you don't, you can still get great food and the car park at Southwold will be that bit emptier. If you do go to Southwold, check out the Under The Pier Show, which is actually on the pier, for a really good laugh. I reccommend the Brainwashing, specially if its been raining.

Great place for a walk, a little bit of everything. We really enjoyed the views. Will be back soon with few friends. It is very easy walk, picturesque and quiet, although it might be down to the fact we came here in October, other time it might be busier.

Loved Shingle Street. There is a road out to a view point through the SSI and my little scooter managed it but be aware it is very bumpy if attempting this on a scooter or power chair.

A beautiful walk along Sizewell beach. Dog friendly and wonderful wild flowers.

Outstanding coastline with lots of things to do I visited Southwold and Lowestoft for the day when I was on holiday 2 weeks ago now and I gotta say they were amazing places Southwold was a proper gem with it's iconic lighthouse their fantastic old fashioned pier and their spectacular sandy beach the town was brilliant with lots of nice shops and the weather was sunny here had a paddle in the sea the waves were crashing against me visited here on 23/05/23 I visited Lowestoft on 21/05/23 and Its more of a seaside resort and had 2 brilliant piers with stunning views of the North sea and beaches it was sand and stones the town was great with good shops to browse in and the seafront is wonderful there had a long paddle in the sea here too I would come back to these places in the future
