The Surrey Hills National Landscape was one of the first landscapes in England to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Surrey Hills stretch across a quarter of the county of Surrey and include the chalk slopes of the North Downs from Farnham in the west to Oxted in the east and extend south to the deeply wooded Greensand Hills which rise in Haslemere.
This is one the best national parks I've been to in England it is so peaceful and calm the view from here is fantastic you can see the city and the small village from the hill it is also fun because you can roll down the hill or go for a picnic. It's a national park you can also have a small hike there if you want l. There is a small river there too and you can have a walk there too so much wildlife full of nature I hundred percent recommend everyone going there if you do enjoy.
A beautiful spot in the Surrey Hills. Convenient for city life (20 minutes away by train), southern coast (also 20 minutes by train, and rural quiet (because you are in it.!)
What an amazing, beautiful planet we live on. Sometimes stuck in big cities and towns. We are oblivious to the beauty around this. If you are local, why not get out of the house into the beautiful fresh air on a sunny day or sunny morning, listen to the birds the bees and nature around you. Tune into the sounds of nature in the background that we are normally oblivious to and enjoy the beauty around us. Perhaps make an incredibly early start to see the sunrise at this time of year. Not too late in the early evening to see the sunset, it is energizing and amazing, and to think that this has been happening for hundreds of millions of years. It makes us realise how small we really are and perhaps on the world stage, our problems are quite insignificant on the world stage. Whether you visit the Surrey Hills or anywhere else in the country, enjoy breathe easy and breathe deep and taking the fresh air and re inergise your body. Take care.
Absolutely outstanding place for a weekend short trip. Family friendly, couples, pet friendly, it's a good and clean place to walk. The stepping stones are a little bit challenging if you not an active sporty person. But you can do it!!!! Not too long. Good place for picnic too. We see people flying their drones, it's a-bit loud to ruin the atmosphere of the quiet nature.... so If you want to fly a drone make sure you keep a distance from the people who are trying to enjoy their peacefulness
