This serene reservoir is nestled in the picturesque Swiss Valley, surrounded by lush greenery and rolling hills. The calm waters of the reservoir reflect the beauty of the surrounding landscape, creating a sense of tranquility and peace.
A great escape from the town. I'd recommend wearing suitable footwear as it can get muddy and slippery in places as well as some uneven ground. There's a cafe on site but it only opens at the weekend. And any watersports are only on offer during the summer school holidays. Anyway, let some photos do the talking ........
Had a lovely walk around the reservoir on the weekend got there just after 1300 it wasn't that busy but when we got back to the cafe after the walk it appeared busier, staff were very friendly and chatty
An amazing place to walk! There's rowboat, kayak and paddleboard hire there by LiveFree Adventures and a coffee shop by Hiatus Coffee. Every time I go down there the staff are fantastic! It's a great place to take the kids or dogs for a walk.
A nice walk through the lake side woods, and the return journey along the footpath on a sunny day.
Brilliant day out, paddle boarding the owners couldn't do enough for us. They said they don't have everything operational yet I.E showers and air pump but they couldn't have been more helpful. Can't wait to go again.
Beautiful walk around the reservoir that takes approx 30/35 minutes. Sheltered sections in wooded areas and plenty of swimming areas for the dogs.
On-site services
Good for kids
