Amazingly weird and wonderful! I almost didn't want to write a review so that this place is kept special. We went with a friend who was recommended a visit. We took along my hard to please 11 year old and we all loved it. This is an experience of all the senses, an explosion of colour, sights and sounds. The narrative is literally out of this world bonkers and we just loved it, every room is so packed full of detail and wonder. This is a wonderful art installation for the senses!!
When walking through Totnes you will find a lot of places with character, charm, and hidden treasures. But I must admit that what from looked like a standard record shop with a quirky twist, turned out to be the highlight of our little trip to the town. Hidden away is a gallery like nothing you will have ever seen before. Spread across 8 different rooms all with their own unique styles and experiences is possibly the best display of love for a project from an artist who puts in 110% effort into their craft. Through each doorway you feel as if you have been transported to the locations the artist wants you to not only be in, but also experience as a reality. This is a place I feel everyone needs to experience as words cannot describe the sensations you will feel through this experience. I hope that this gets expanded on and brought to a bigger stage as THIS is art
It's a really good, funny, lovely and magical experience. From the second you enter the museum you are thrown into a magical and mysterious world, the storyline is really interesting and immersive. I've been there with a friend and we loved every single part of it. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to have a magical and particular expiriernce
Not as described at all. On their Facebook page is says 25 experiences over 4 floors. They estimate 1-2 hours to look Around everything. We drove just under an hour to get here and was really excited. Soon realised though that it's 9 rooms over 3 floors and took 15 mins to walk Around. The rooms we did see were pretty amazing to look at but I would suggest if your looking for a truly immersive experience then wake the tiger in Bristol is well Worth it. On leaving I did say to staff that I thought there would be more and it was implied that it was end of season...22nd aug! And that maybe next yr they will open the 4th floor. All in all a very expensive 15mins at over PS20 for 2 adults and 1 child. Would not recommend and Facebook needs updating!
Loved it! Well worth an hour of your time. Just go! But make sure you spend half an hour or so at "cloud 9" at the end, so you see the whole film loop.
Totnes is quietly home to several TARDIS- like gems - bigger on the inside. I don't want to give too much away about the Time House, but if you visit on a Thur/Fri/Sat, the immersive; story-based, vintage/futuristic exhibition is unmissable - an artist's passion project that must've taken a LONG time to create. Take a risk and get ready to explore!
