Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye is set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins. Producing an alluring, sweet, full-bodied single malt that is so easy to enjoy, and like Skye itself, so hard to leave. Visit our website for more information and to book your Talisker tour, tasting or experience. Advanced booking for tours and tasting is recommended, particularly over the summer months, to avoid disappointment.
Great view and location. Didn't do the tour but good if into whisky. Bit of a tourist trap for prices. Can order same whisky off Amazon for cheaper. Glad I went for a look though. Its kinda swanky inside with a lovely looking bar and shop
A five star experience to be sure. I went on a tour of the distillery and had the distinct pleasure and good fortune to have Grant as our tour guide. He did an amazing job of showing us the whole process from beginning to end and was incredibly knowledgeable about the whisky especially when the time came for us to do the tasting. If you are even the slightest bit into whisky this is a must; you won't regret it. They also have a shop where they sell whisky's that are not sold anywhere else so it's a good chance to grab yourself a rare one.
I'm glad that I booked a tour here. I had a great time touring the distillery. Our tour guide, George, was awesome! I learned a lot more about whiskey from him. The distillery is located right by the sea, so it had a nice view to walk around the area too. There were also very nice restaurants nearby.
I don't know why the reviews are only 4.2stars... If you like whisky, then this is an absolute must-visit. We did not book a tour in advance and there were no spots available when we arrived. Lesson learned! But the tasting we did at the bar inside was still great - bartender there super knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions. The shop had a nice variety, and you could bottle your own special cask whisky. Some of the memorabilia was actually quite reasonably priced - so we got a couple extra souvenirs we didn't expect. Really lovely place on Skye - kid's playground nearby - restaurants and coffee nearby - weather was gorgeous this day.
Not sure why this hasn't got a 5star rating! FYI: Parking is free and plenty, Guided tour should be prebooked.
