Chance encounter when staying at a local campsite. Rode the railway up the valley for a day hiking. Delighted to have chatted with the driver who was a mine of information about the engines and rolling stock, and obviously so proud of his involvement. He told us about LTC Rolts 'Railway Adventure' which I have acquired to read the history. A very special day.
Lovely views, friendly staff, and not too expensive. Trains are regular, allowing you to stop off for walks etc. at various stations. A lovely day out. There is a very quaint signal box at Brynglas, which is manned. Request stops only here! Half a mile down the lane is an interesting old watermill.
Lovely little station on the Talyllyn Railway. An opportunity to see steam trains in rural Wales. One thing to note is that this is a request stop, and you need to advise the guard if you wish to alight here.
Lovely train ride.
Superb unspoilt station on the Talyllyn Railway. Where often the trains pass each other.
Wonderful place to visit, frequent trains.
Good for kids
