This 135-hectare park in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, features a mix of woodland, grassland, and wetland habitats, with several lakes, ponds, and streams. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, bats, and insects, and offers several walking trails, including the Tattenhoe Valley Trail, which takes visitors through the park's diverse landscapes. The park also features several picnic areas, a children's play area, and a car park.
One of the long linear wildlife corridors within Milton Keynes, alongside a landscaped stream. Shaded options in summer, and seated areas for stops. Very popular exercise and dog walking area. Beautifully maintained by Parks Trust, who now designate meadow areas to enjoy. Herons, swans, red kites and many other wild animals including a small army of grey squirrels. Connects to the large lake at Furzton.
Although Google maps shows there to be bodies of water and some pictures depicting beautiful picnic spots. There are none. All the waterways and water holes are over grown, you cannot feed ducks/swans as there aren't any ... super disappointing.
Me and my mother came walking to the valley park yesterday and thought it was lovely and exploring more of Milton Keynes! Loved the walk, it was epic and it was just nice to be outside! There are lots of things to play on including a trim trail, some stepping stones! A park nearby! It was a lovely walk
i truly enjoyed my walk through this park!
It's a good place, good scenery, lots of resting benches. Good for walking and running exercises.
Beautiful park to run or walk in! Gently rolling and well maintained pathways make it a joy to go to. It's easy to park up and run any distance you like from a multitude of points along its length. I tend to park up on the corner after coming off the A421 and it's easy to run 5-10k on a round route. The river running through is home to some great wildlife and I had the pleasure to see a string of ducklings following their mum today.
