Tatton Hall is a 18th-century mansion house situated in Tatton Park, Cheshire, England. The hall is a prime example of Georgian architecture and features a stunning mixture of Palladian and Classical styles. The building's façade is adorned with a grand entrance, Corinthian columns, and ornate stonework. The interior boasts exquisite decorative plasterwork, intricate wood carvings, and impressive collections of art and antiques. The hall is surrounded by 1,000 acres of parkland, which includes a deer park, woodland, and a beautiful lake. Visitors can explore the hall's opulent state rooms, including the grand staircase, the music room, and the library, as well as the impressive kitchen and servants' quarters.
First time here, there is tons to look at in the house. Planning to revisit and just do the gardens. Lots of deer in the grounds as you drive in.
We went for the Autumn fair also been before to the RHS flower show. There's a nice little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, a farm and plenty of ground for walking, there were also deers and some stags. Interesting place to visit
Great day out but be aware, your NT membership does NOT give you discounted or free access to the farm where the playground is. PS21 for a family ticket is still a lot considering what people might pay for lunches, train ride, fare and a the add ons etc. Gardens are beautiful and walking routes for miles. Will go back but will still not pay to get in the farm . Free entry would mean I'd be more likely to buy in the gift shop or buy produce.
The gardens were incredible. Absolutely worth seeing, especially if you are a member.
Apart from paying the parking fee, if you want to see the garden or hall like in the pictures you have pay extra per person and per child. The only thing to see apart from that is just some animals like sheeps cows and open fields to play or walk etc... I was expecting to see at least something similar to the gardens or nicer...
PS8 charge parking! Walked to old Tudor hall but it was closed, no signage to warn that would have helped! Japanese garden only open 11:30 & 1:30. Told off for going the wrong way in the house, but the signage the lady said was there wasn't, no apology just an acceptance that it should be there. Cafe chaos. Council meeting seemed the main focus. Worst National Trust experience so far in our first year of membership. Just a total lack of customer focus, with separate charges for each area for non NT members, it really seems to be a revenue generating exercise. If all NT properties were like this I'd cancel my membership.
