This reserve on the west coast of Scotland features a mix of woodland, wetland, and grassland habitats, providing a haven for wildlife such as otters, ospreys, and red deer. The reserve's diverse landscape is dotted with ancient monuments, including the remains of a 2,000-year-old broch and a Neolithic tomb. Visitors can explore the area via a network of trails, including a wheelchair-accessible path, and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Lovely walk through the reservation down to the water's edge where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful location. Nice touch is the book of poetry and the notebook for visitors to reflect on their experience.
Lovely trail to the old mill and Loch side and then through the woods. Easy to find and ample parking
What a beautiful place to visit. Pond Lillies, dragon flies, streams and water side. Most of it very accessible. Easy parking as well. And free.
I really loved this place, quiet, off the beaten track and beautiful. Glad there's no cafe, toilets or shop as some people seem to expect. That's what makes it an attraction, it's not a blooming theme park!
The road is a bit narrow getting there but well worth it good medium walk great views
We explored the reserve yesterday and was so glad we did. . so worth the visit. The information signs were brilliant and the effort that's been put into protecting this part of the world and maintaining the paths etc for visitors is evident. The art installation were a special treat. So creative. The whole place has a mystical feel. We did the main loop with our 8.5mo in her carrier and was perfect for us. Thanks for having us.
