This 13-acre park in Liverpool, England, is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. The park features beautifully landscaped gardens, walking trails, and a serene lake. Visitors can stroll around the park, take in the scenic views, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The park is also home to several monuments and memorials, including the Temple Monument, which honors the victims of the Titanic disaster.
My local green area is always a pleasure to visit, whether for a walk or short-cut to the local shopping area. It has grown in popularity due to the pandemic and family groups picnic and play and exercise there. The changing seasons are a delight to see and photograph.
Right on my front door and a great place for walking or cycling. Lot of people take there dogs for walks aswell .
It was election counting day when we called for the benefit of our dogs. 1st time here. The grass was very long, it looked neglected. Youths on bikes with masks and balaclavas on clearly trading was very concerning
The Council have allowed this once beautiful Memorial Park to be destroyed by motorbikes, quad bikes and some sort of 4x4 this is a prequel to the council allowing a private sports complex being built on 38 acres of land with a 2 metre high fence around it. After a very concentrated effort by members of the Friends of Temple Memorial Park on a massive cleaning operating the park is becoming a beautiful place to walk, take your children and walk your pets. Over 500 bags of litter and rubbish have been removed. Burnt out motorcycles, carpets, settees, chairs, tables, plastic swimming pool, rabbit hutch you name it we have cleared it. Plastic bags on lampposts for litter all of this done by a dedicated small group of people who want this park to be beautiful for all the people of South Shields.
A good open area right in the middle of Shields with mature forested areas, football and sports pitches as well as a few pathways. This is what it was intended for, the enjoyment of local folk. A far cry from the terrible landfill site it became in the late 1960's and early 70's with its 20 foot fences to stop the rubbish blowing across the Cleadon Park housing estate! Just need to get rid of or refurbish the derelict Leisure Centre.
Lovely to walk around excellent playing fields the litter team have left handy black bags tied to lamp posts for litter and dog poo But!!!!! Shame about the motor bikes racing across paths .I thought police were going to apply drones go catch them.
