The Temple of Harmony is an 18th Century folly situated in the designed historical parkland at Halswell House. The Temple and surrounding parkland known as Mill Wood is part of the private ownership of Halswell House. The Temple was substantially restored during the 1990s by the Somerset Building Preservation Trust and in recent years efforts have been made to restore its parkland setting. Both the Temple and Mill Wood are now open to the public on Sundays from May to September and the Temple is available for private hire. Please note THERE IS NO PUBLIC ACCESS outside of these times without prior arrangement. Sunday booking must be pre-booked via our website.
As posted by someone else, got here and it's closed. Cycled out here. Not devastated but Google states it's open 'til 1700 and it's only 1528. Think the entry should be updated
Was locked up and then had locals stop and question me why i was parked outside. But i have been before at it is really nice, just a shame it now has a gate on the entrance to the grounds.
Hi, could you please add hours on Google Maps so we know exactly when it's open? Thanks
Love this place and the local area. Not the best parking though.
Interesting building not often open to the public
Fascinating and well restored
Good for kids
