The most entertaining and immersive walking tours in Cambridge. Terrible, but in a good way! At Terrible Tours we think the best way to learn is to laugh. And that's usually about stories and people rather than architecture and dates, and above all about what's odd, funny, grisly, or smelly and generally revolting! Yes Cambridge is home to one of the world's greatest Universities. But it's about much more than that. Rank Romans, scary Saxons, vile Vikings and nasty Normans all came here long before the first scallywag Student ever did. Its alive with stories (and ghosts!) So if you want a walk around our historic city that you'll enjoy so much you'll wish it lasted longer rather than counting down the minutes till it's over, try us out!
A fun tour with Carly yesterday! Took us to great sights, lots of facts and info and fun presentation. Would just say a little pricey for the tour but enjoyed it all the same. Took some photos of some places along the way Thanks Carly - you were brilliant!
My six-year-old son and I were privileged to be the only guests on the Creepy Cambridge tour on a very wet Sunday night. Carly was absolutely brilliant, full of great stories (a lot new to me, a long time Cambridge resident) and patient with and interested in my son's questions. The next day on the way home from school he said, unprompted, 'I really enjoyed last night. It was like Horrible Histories and fun'. High praise! Thanks Carly.
We did the Creepy Cambridge tour with Stacey and would highly recommend. The tour lasted approximately 1h 45m and we walked around 2km at a gentle pace. Stacey was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her subject matter, had fantastic props to bring her stories to life and interacted well with everyone on the tour, answering questions and allowing time for people to take photos. We learnt lots of history, heard lots of spooky tales and discovered some interesting places we decided to go back to the following day. We went on the tour as a family and our 9 year old loved it. I would say children need to be age 8+ to really get something from it. Overall excellent tour and well worth the money.
Booked a tour as part of a company Christmas trip to Cambridge. Had a whale of a time with Chuck who we thoroughly recommend, who kept us entertained and informed in equal amounts despite absolutely awful weather. Thank you for a great time and we won't ever think of Cambridge in the same way!
Enjoyed a Creepy Cambridge tour. Highly recommend. Shame can't remember tour guide's name because he was brilliant!! Lots of information and engaging. Great fun. Did not want the tour to end.
We had a great time on this tour- it's a nice walking route through Cambridge punctuated with interesting historic and spooky facts. Simon was an engaging tour guide and it was an excellent way to spend an evening. Would definitely recommend!
Getting tickets in advance recommended
Good for kids
