Norman edifice with a Romanesque tower and ornate roof bosses, plus regular Christian services.
What a beautiful church tucked away in this small town! The tour was free but I donated 5PS. Loved reading the tombstones inlaid in the floor of the church, and the Gothic architecture was impeccable. The surprise of the two black labs was so welcome! The only thing I was for was that the gift shop would be more unique - it was more or less the same stuff seen in any gift shops just with the name changed to Tewkesbury Abbey.
A magnificent Benedictine monastery building that reflects the rich architecture. You feel calm and peace. Well worth to visit. Easy to accessible from M5 20 minutes drive from Gloucester. The window paintings are awesome.
A stunning building on the outside and magnificent within. Well worth a visit. The grounds are lovely too. I was fortunate enough to attend a choral concert given by the City of Birmingham Choir and the acoustic of the space was incredible, especially with the organ playing with 'all the stops out'. A memorable visit.
Such a beautiful pub. The staff were pleasant, prices are fair. The garden backs onto the river and looks so lush. Toilets are really clean. Food is really nice.
Absolutely beautiful place for all families to visit. I cannot wait to visit again. The Abbey is fantastic as is Tewkesbury. Tons of interesting places and history. There are lots of shops and great places to eat and drink. We had a wonderful meal at Tewkesbury Marina It was delicious and we sat outside watching the boats, wildlife and the world go by. I give Tewkesbury 7 stars .
Gorgeous Abbey well worth a visit. Very quaint town with many Tudor buildings but High St, like so many now, are full of charity shops and cafes. Albeit some of the cafes look lovely.
