The Ashes Playing Fields is a scenic green space in South London, featuring multiple sports pitches, a children's playground, and a skate park. The park also boasts a tranquil pond, walking trails, and plenty of seating areas, making it a popular spot for recreation and relaxation.
Good for families and dog walkers alike. There is a nice kids playground with a picnic area close by. This is a well-kept park that has a lovely flat walk around the perimeter with some shade and a couple of shorter walks in the centre. There's lots of dog bins, so there's no excuse for dog walkers. There are plenty of benchs, so you can sit and enjoy being surrounded by beautiful fragrent trees and plants. Loved it, and we will return.
Great community facility and playground .. beautifully looked after too
Visited Howden fair!! Spoken to a me local young people adhey said it's the best thing about Howden.
I think it is a well kept park, especially when there is only one person dealing with an area of the size it is. I love to walk my dog and stop and talk with other dog walkers, an ideal place to meet people. The bowling greens are kept in a beautiful condition and the area at the back is beautiful to sit and just chill. Lots going on for the children in the park the ping pong table, climbing frames and picnic tables for people to sit with their family and have a picnic. There is always something going on in the summer and this weekend I look forward to the picnic in the park with a group of friends listening to the music being provided, and all free!! Great!!
Been here a couple of times now with my children and it's a lovely little park, very clean and lots to do! (Note that I have only been into the park, nowhere else). One entrance is in the marketplace so perfect for popping to get an ice cream afterwards!
Great place to walk and take small children, dogs should be kept on a leash at all times here..
