Went here for a Sunday Roast as it was recommended to us. The staff greeted us in a friendly hospitable manner. Very welcoming and happy. Lovely inside, great atmosphere and great food. Food was quick to arrive and nice and hot. We would definitely go back again. 5 stars.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here! Service was amazing and the food was delicious (and generous portions too). Loved that they had lots of options for different dietary requirements. Would definitely go back again!
Went Saturday night for my birthday meal .from being welcomed by darren at the front door it was superb. Decor immaculate and staff spot on .I had duck liver parfait to start full of flavour and presented very well .then an old favourite of mine beer buttered fish and triple cooked chips with the best mushy peas I've had in a long while .a lovely bottle of white wine.and to finish rum soaked peaches .then a lovely happy birthday on a slate with fruits on the season. What a hidden gem thankyou Darren and thr entire team for making my meal one to remember we will definitely be back soon .
We've been coming to the Black Horse for very many years and we've never been let down by the quality of the food or the overall experience. Elevated gastro pub food done really well without too much frippery but focussed on really great taste and presentation. I always really enjoy what I have no matter what I order but honestly most times I tend to go for their legendary fish and chips! Staff are always very welcoming and friendly and very attentive. We really enjoy our experiences here and will continue to come for many years!
We stopped for a light bite having found this pub on Google as we were on a day's travel. Lovely pub, lovely food and service was top notch. Sat on the garden terrace in the sunshine - could have been in the South of France - so pretty.
Haven't visited for several years but had a gift voucher to use and will definitely be back. Very good food, nice atmosphere - busy but not too noisy, very clean, excellent staff and service. Reasonably priced too. Did not use the hotel, only restaurant.
