This 19th-century bone mill, located in Hastings, East Sussex, is a rare surviving example of a once-common industrial building type. The mill, built in 1828, was used to process animal bones into fertiliser and other products. Its tall, narrow structure, with a pitched roof and hoist beam, reflects its original purpose. The mill's machinery, including a large wheel and grinding stones, remains intact, offering a glimpse into the industrial past.
