Museum in an old corn mill exploring the history of canals, with films, artifacts, cafe and shop.
Not a lot to see in the museum itself. We however got to see boats moving through the locks which was very interesting. There was also information about how the locks operate. Cafes and a restaurant are nearby.
Lovely trip along the canal and back. Only 25 minutes but enjoyable. Followed by a good 6 and a half mile circular walk. Visited the museum. Very nice day out
Free entry to this interesting museum. Great little cafe and good service. Nice walk along the canal.
Small but interesting museum on middle and top floors, accessed via staircase. Cafe and gift shop on ground floor. Worth visiting just for the canal boat ride - good fun for kids, especially going into the dark tunnel. All in all, a pleasant venue to spend a couple of hours. (There are also signposted walks if you're an active type.) Museum is free. Car park and boat ride modestly priced. Satnav is iffy; follow the standard "brown" tourist road signs.
A lovely museum with alot of items to view in a small place.Ny daughter especially enjoyed dressing up.
A great place to visit and please visit me Canal Visitor shop too and go on a canal boat to the Blisworth Tunnel.
