A massive limestone gorge carved out by the River Ure, featuring steep cliffs, scenic walking trails, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Another gem of our great county! A stunning structure with a 360-degree view of the most beautiful countryside! And to top it off, it's completely free!
A landmark, a work of art, a hill to climb with fantastic views... worth a visit if you're in the area - quite unique... in case of emergency press the big red button!
An amazing sculpture that you can walk through with incredible 360 degree views. The car park is free to park in and just a short uphill walk to reach the sculpture. It was great looking out over the quarry and seeing the work going on there. The sculpture is huge and enjoyable following the paths round to the top. A great excuse to stop off at the beautiful and quirky Toft Gate Barn Cafe just along the road from here for some delicious food, tea and coffee with a view.
WOW... We are only an hour away and only discovered this by chance. It was more than we expected the view over the far rail into the quarry is unbelievable. My images do not do the vastness justice. It is a bit hard to find the correct entrance to the small car park, but after several attempts, we found the correct one. It's a bit of a steep climb, but well worth it. My only criticism they spent Middlesbrough as Middlesborough. School boy error next would be one S in Teesside. It is a fantastic find of which we are already planning on taking friends to view soon.
It's a good workout, nearly a mile from car park to the top and back. Hard work for a retired couple with knee problems. Great view at the top, it was very windy on the path in both directions.
Coldstone cut was really nice a short little walk from the car park and you arrive there. It's got a nice dial showing the degrees to lots of famous places from coldstone cut. kids enjoyed it.
