Child-friendly park with waterfalls and gardens, dotted with fairytale and nursery rhyme characters.
We visited on a weekday with a young baby who is toddling/ in a buggy. We enjoyed the park with great weather on our side. The park has nice clear paths for easy access around. The statues have previously had a bad reputation for paint peeling etc but we found them to be recently painted and the grounds well maintained. Will likely be back again for another visit again
It's good fun (about outdoors) but you can definitely see the place is in decline after its glory days, paint peeling off, piece broken here and there off installations, multiple paths closed, exhibits that you could get inside now permanently locked and DEFINITELY needs a cleaning.
Storybook Glen is an amazing park that exceeded all our expectations. The grounds are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We spent nearly four hours there with our son, who was absolutely enthralled by the life-sized statues and engaging story scenes. The park is beautifully laid out, making it easy to explore the various fairy tale characters and settings. Each area is thoughtfully designed to captivate the imagination, and our son truly enjoyed immersing himself in the stories. The blend of enchanting displays and pristine surroundings made for a perfect family outing.
The kids and adults enjoyed the visit despite some rainy weather. The indoor play is good and the cafe is fine. Overall in my view it's a bit of a bargain with the modest entry fee and no parking charge. Yes some of the exhibits are better than others but that's all part of the fun here, as it's always been.
A gem of a place so close to Aberdeen. We spent outddors only. Really enjoyed it. our kids had lots of fun. Lots of characters hidden along with natural landscape. Also has a shop for ice cream and snacks. Toilet facilities as well. Would definitely come back.
I came here as a kid, about 35 years ago. The park itself hasn't changed much since then... I actually remember some of the exhibits... and you know what? That's not a bad thing. It definitely has character, and my kids still loved it. I'd sum it up as so naff, it's come full circle and become cool!!! The soft play is fairly new and probably the best in the North East. Definitely worth a visit to Aberdeenshire's answer to Disney Land!!!
