A vibrant spectacle of colorful hot air balloons filling the sky, the Dorset Balloon Festival is a breathtaking display of aerial beauty. Held annually in Dorset, England, the festival features a stunning array of balloons in various shapes, sizes, and colors, creating a mesmerizing sight as they soar above the rolling hills and countryside. As the sun rises, the balloons are inflated and take to the skies, offering breathtaking views and a unique perspective on the surrounding landscape. Visitors can wander through the festival grounds, getting up close and personal with the balloons and their pilots, and enjoy a range of food, drink, and entertainment options. As the day draws to a close, the balloons are illuminated, creating a magical and unforgettable experience.
Great idea....they need to listen and learn from the punters who paid to get in...overall great event .... Need for insight and input for children's stuff, more free options....PS10 for a 2 min ride on a "monster truck" PS10 for a ride in a kiddies truck...all fun but if you have several kids if will cost you an absolute bomb The fair ground was great, looks amazing at night but again PSPSPS. The food vendors, great choices, loads to choose from but again PS3 for a can of pepsi....daylight robbery....yeah yeah I know they have a living to make and have to pay PSxxxx to have a pitch but come on ...think families as this was mainly young families with loads of children....charge less bigger turnover because folks are likely to buy more!! The bar needs a defo overall....need a greater choice and beer on tap like the Harbour Festival in Poole...get a local brewery to offer their know how and services. The hot air balloons were great xxx and the evening show was worth waiting for and the entertainment was pretty spot on. Only complaint was the animal guy who was there to entertain the kids.not the adults was far too near the mark boarding on the obscene for a family event. Will defi come next year to a hopefully more planned and thought out eventually. Make the 2nd one so much better it becomes a landmark event in Dorset that folks come to travel to our lovely County
On the whole I enjoyed this event. I totally understood the safety aspects of if the balloons would fly (weather permitting) but would like to have seen more when they did. Plenty of food venues but found it hard to fit it into our budget as everything is so expensive these days but enjoyed what I did have. Guess it would really mount up if you have a large family. Think this is definitely offset by the affordable PS5 entry fee. Music was great. I enjoyed the day..... thank you
Absolute rip-off paid PS5 for parking online to be told parking was free when i got there.... Paid PS6 for two coffees then told "the stirrers are on the table so stir the powder in yourself" asked the steward at 2 o'clock where the balloons were to be told "they won't be here till 8 o'clock at night!".... A balloon festival with no balloons !!
What a rip off - arrived at 11am to find it was a Funfair with the usual "burger vans". We left at 3pm without seeing any BALLOONS ......... We paid just over PS60 for 4 people - absolutely disgusting. I am glad we left when we did the roads were so congested and it wasn't pedistrian friendly. Never again and we deserve our money back.....
What a waste of time and money, you pay a fortune to get in and then have to pay for everything else. Hardly a balloon in sight for the first 8 hours. Have contacted them due to some of the things in the programme either not being there or being a con and they will not respond. Do not waste your effort or money on this.
Didn't attend but was stuck in traffic for hours caused by said event traffic.. so thank you for that.
