The Edlington Pirate is a 35-meter-tall (115 ft) sculpture located in South Yorkshire, England. Designed by artist Ashley Barnes, it was erected in 2007 to commemorate the Edlington May Day festivities. The pirate stands proudly on a hill overlooking the village, its imposing figure crafted from steel and fiberglass. The sculpture's design is inspired by the mythical pirates of the Caribbean, with intricate details such as a bandana, eye patch, and a trusty parrot perched on its shoulder. At night, the pirate is illuminated, making it a striking landmark visible from afar.
